About the exhibition "HEY! Drawing", on view at the Halle Saint-Pierre in Paris until 31 December 2022.

Drawing, drawing and more drawing! When we tell you that pencil strokes are on the rise... It's a pure delight to wander around the Halle Saint Pierre in Paris this year, which has always had a knack for proposing exhilarating collective events in association with the magazine "HEY! modern Art & Pop". This time, without any form of hierarchy, we find ourselves face to face on all floors with works of art signed by unknowns as well as stars of contemporary drawing such as David B., Marcos Carrasquer, Laurie Lipton, Daisuke Ichiba or Davor Vrankic. The greatest signatures of Art Brut are also there: Janko Domsic, Victor Simon, Marcel Storr and Pépé Vignes, but their drawings are hung on the same level as the drawings of prisoners or other anonymous people. And that's the magic of it all: this egalitarian deployment and this collegial proposal that Vincent Delaury has not failed to appreciate for this month's L'Oeil magazine. When the journalist talks about the "emancipating graphic amplitude" of drawing, we take a deep breath, we go for it, and it works! Whether they draw on paper, tree leaves or skateboards, whether they are free-lance or not, self-taught or art school graduates, some sixty international artists blow the wind of an incredible and contagious creative energy here.
