The cabanes tchanquées are emblematic symbols of the Arcachon basin. Perched on stilts in the waters of the basin, these stilt huts once served as a refuge for fishermen. Their picturesque silhouette and rustic charm attract many visitors. These huts also offer spectacular views of the Arcachon basin and its surroundings. Today, some of the cabanes tchanquées have been renovated and are used as holiday residences or places of relaxation.
