Description

A pinasse is a traditional boat from the Arcachon basin, emblematic of the region. It is a wooden boat, with a flat bottom and a shallow draft, which makes it perfectly suited to navigation in the shallow waters of the Arcachon basin. The pinasse was historically used for fishing, oyster farming and transporting goods. Today, it is also used for leisure and walks. This image embodies the authenticity and tradition of the Arcachon basin, where the sea and the land are in perpetual dialogue. Pinasses are not only boats, but also symbols of local life, inseparable from the maritime heritage of the region.
