Description
The cabanes tchanquées stand elegantly on their wooden stilts, their bases partially submerged by the rising waters. The water of the Arcachon Basin, now rising, begins to surround the stilts, reflecting the bright colors and architectural details of the cabins. The reflections on the water create a serene atmosphere, where the colors of the cabins – often red, blue, or green – mingle with the shades of blue and gray of the water’s surface. As the tide comes in, the water gradually rises around the stilts, but the cabins remain well above the surface, their wooden structures appearing to float. Sunlight reflects off the calm, gently rippling waters, adding a touch of sparkle to the scene.
