Description
The fishermen's huts of the Arcachon Bay are wooden structures, often painted in bright and varied colors such as blue, red, green, and yellow. They are typically located along the quays or at the water's edge, sometimes on stilts to protect them from the tides. The facades of the huts are often decorated with maritime motifs or fishermen's signs, adding a rustic and authentic charm. The roofs, usually made of tiles or slates, may be slightly sloped to evacuate rainwater. The huts are sometimes surrounded by fishing nets, buoys, and traps, and fishing equipment such as landing nets and baskets are often visible nearby.
