Description
Perched on his familiar promontory, my falcon... my "piou piou", scanned the world with his piercing eyes, master of the sky but child of our home. Raised among us, he had learned to spread his wings under our benevolent gaze, to leap with grace, to brush the wind like a whisper of freedom still held back. His feathers, hesitant at first, had gradually asserted themselves, carried by the irresistible call of the vast horizon.
Then, one morning, without a sound, he took flight. Higher, further than ever. His shadow danced one last time on the land he knew by heart, before disappearing into the azure. A pang in his heart, a void left behind him... but also the pride of having seen him grow, flourish and, finally, choose his own sky.
