Description
This unique acrylic painting on canvas uses traditional pigments mixed with synthetic resins. My expression is powerful and offers an explosion of feelings. Each of my works is a message and has the ambition to appeal to our lived experience, to the experiences that shape our beings and define who we are. Being torn between the tree and the canoe: Melanesian myth: Every man is torn between two needs. The need for the Canoe, that is to say the journey, of breaking away from oneself, and the need for the Tree, that is to say of rooting, of identity. Men constantly wander between these two needs, sometimes giving in to one, sometimes to the other, until the day they understand that it is with the Tree that the Canoe is made.
