Celine Lambert: A self-taught path to abstract art
Under the artist name MA2MOIZEL.C, Celine Lambert navigates between two worlds: that of pharmacy, her initial profession, and that of art, her true vocation. Since a young age, she has always been attracted to drawing, first by copying comic strip characters, then by seeking to define her own style. It was by confronting herself with the canvas that Celine discovered her passion for painting.
Self-taught, Celine continued to develop her artistic skills while pursuing her career in pharmacy. In 2016, she obtained a CAP in ceramic turning, although her career quickly took another direction. Drawing, which she describes as a vital element of her life, quickly became central to her artistic expression.
Inspired by Japanese patterns, microscopic sections of plants, and architecture, Céline creates abstract works combining acrylic and Posca markers. Her practice, entirely freehand, is marked by the search for new textures and effects. Her paintings are a balance between spontaneity and graphic rigor, where abstract meets contemporary geometry.
Since 2018, her works have been exhibited in various group exhibitions, notably in Aix-en-Provence and Nice, where she participated in the Biennale de peinture and the Salon Renk'art. Céline Lambert has also been selected several times for the prestigious Luxembourg Art Prize.
Through her creations, Céline Lambert expresses a personal and sincere artistic vision, nourished by her unique experience and multiple influences. For her, art is an essential means of communication and self-discovery, a passion that continues to accompany her over time.
Artistic approach
I am always looking for materials, effects, mixtures. Acrylic, Posca markers. I like to work with abstract and graphic shapes. I only paint freehand. By feeling. My sources of inspiration are botany, architecture, sewing, biology (cells). So many things in this life are triggers of inspiration. It is a vital element for me to draw or paint. Simply create.
