Description
This oil painting depicts a traditional fishing boat beached on a shore with clear, shallow waters. The red and white boat is equipped with a fishing winch and contains various marine accessories, including colorful nets and carefully arranged ropes. Its shadow on the sand reflects a bright light, suggesting a sunny seaside scene. The calm, translucent water, punctuated by a few red buoys, provides a soothing contrast to the boat's imposing presence. The gilded frame enhances the overall effect, giving it a classic and refined touch. The work evokes a moment of tranquility after a sea trip, capturing both the authenticity and serenity of the maritime world.

About the artist

Born in Montmartre in 1963, painting and writing have allowed Sako, whose real name is Serge Armagan, to put words to his pain. A painter for 40 years, but having always painted, he acknowledges that he is only just beginning to understand that the quest for excellence is a life's work and never ends. This humility, this quest for visual emotion that we offer to the gaze of others, are the guiding principles of his work.
