Description
The artist captured the light and transparency of the water using a palette of deep blues, emerald greens, and bright whites for the foam. The movement of the waves is realistically conveyed, thanks in part to the subtle contrasts between the shadows and the light reflections on the water's surface.

About the artist

Born in Montmartre in 1963, painting and writing have allowed Sako, whose real name is Serge Armagan, to put words to his pain. A painter for 40 years, but having always painted, he acknowledges that he is only just beginning to understand that the quest for excellence is a life's work and never ends. This humility, this quest for visual emotion that we offer to the gaze of others, are the guiding principles of his work.
