Description
Sako's "Arrival" depicts a wave in motion, realistically and expressively capturing the power of the ocean. The composition depicts a raging sea that contrasts with the peaceful sand of the shore, creating a natural depth. The shades of emerald green and deep blue bring a sense of freshness and dynamism, while the light, vaporous white foam accentuates the wave's strength. The texture and transparency of the water are particularly well rendered, giving an impression of fluid and energetic movement. Through this scene, the artist manages to convey both the raw power of the sea and a sense of serenity in the face of nature. The title "Arrival" evokes the moment when the wave touches the beach, symbolizing a transition or a culmination, reinforcing the idea of a moment suspended between strength and calm.

About the artist

Born in Montmartre in 1963, painting and writing have allowed Sako, whose real name is Serge Armagan, to put words to his pain. A painter for 40 years, but having always painted, he acknowledges that he is only just beginning to understand that the quest for excellence is a life's work and never ends. This humility, this quest for visual emotion that we offer to the gaze of others, are the guiding principles of his work.
