Description
This work comes from the active cargo ship Anna S. 225 m X 32.33 m, built in 2001, sails under the flag of Liberia. This ship carries 40,000 tons of bulk cargo. Having left the other side of the world, I waited for it to dock in Lorient. This ship fascinates me, as it seems at once imposing, powerful, massive, and suspended. The ratios are reversed: the black evoking the depth of the waves has become light, capable of supporting these 75,000 tons in total. Emerald green, so serene to move forward!

About the artist

My artistic universe: An ode to the docks and the sea

My inspiration comes from the docks, these places of incessant exchange between continents. The sides of ships, initially smooth and uniform, are transformed by the movement of the Earth, the pull of the Moon, and the tides. These natural forces create collisions, slashes, and boats driven to the dock, leaving wounds on their original uniqueness. I strive to restore the beauty of this resilience to through my art.

Promotion of the Sea and Sustainable Development:

Reconciling the promotion of the sea and sustainable development is a challenge I take on by creating works that form a maritime universe open to today's world. My creations, often colorful and dynamic, aim to generate a positive image, far from outdated clichés or watercolors for tourists.

An Ecological Approach:

My approach is not to travel the world polluting, but to waiting for boats from the Lorient district, the Atlantic coast, or from around the world to come to me. I use solvent-free inks for numbered prints, made here in the Lorient region, in a zero-ozone art approach.

Unique works and reproductions:

All my works are limited editions of 30 copies, available for purchase. They are sometimes indicated as unique works, sometimes as reproductions. The sizes indicated are minimum sizes, with most works reaching a size of 210 cm.
