Techniques utilisées

I like to move from one technique to another (mixed media, acrylic, oil).

I refuse to use a video projector to represent my subject on the canvas because I attach great importance to drawing, which in my opinion every painter must master.

In my mixed techniques, I generally use acrylic to which I add all kinds of materials: cardboard, paper, fabric, gauze, string, inks, resin, gold, silver, metal, gravel, even colored rice! I carefully prepare my backgrounds which I like to be colorful and textured. Then I play with transparencies through glazes and paint that I apply, scrape, wipe...

For acrylic, I use either paint in a tube or pigments with an acrylic binder. I work with a brush or more recently with a knife, because I am currently looking for more material.

Use of glaze + emulsion for the oil technique, because I like transparency and this allows the color to build up little by little. It is the ancient and traditional technique of mixed oil painting.

I particularly appreciate what requires a certain techniquesuch as the transfer of images, working with gold leaf, calligraphy, the use of resin or more recently enamel.
