PROGRAM

- Learning different welding methods (torch and welding station) (making cubes)

- Learning different methods of modeling, shaping a sheet of steel and assembly (sculpture imposed by the trainer)

- Learning and working on metal polishing.

- Creation of a work of art by the trainee (without theme imposed by the trainer).

- Theoretical and practical learning of the different patina and painting techniques for iron on sculptures.

- Mandatory course on the safety and maintenance of different welding tools 1st stage The trainee will first and foremost learn flame welding using a torch – combustion of a judicious mixture of acetylene/oxygen and arc welding by the use of the welding station – transformer serving as a conductor to produce an electric arc.

Learning the knowledge of metals will help him work with the raw material “IRON” to create his first sculpture. Each morning the student will be entrusted with the creation of a cube whose 6 faces will be welded together, the sheet metal used will be increasingly thinner during the course. 2nd step The trainer will impose the creation of a work of his choice using sheet metal and round iron. The work of modeling the sheet metal will be done at high temperature and the desired shaping, using different hammers will allow the trainee to give the desired shape of the steel sheet.3rd stepThe trainee will be entrusted with the creation of his own sculpture within the reasonable limit and the time allowed by the duration of the course.

A significant amount of creativity and imagination is required of each participant. This is an essential and fundamental point for the creative success of each work. Each trainee will be offered a practical and theoretical course on the different patina and painting techniques. A compulsory course on safety will be on the program for each trainee.
