"1910 .... LE CORSET"

About the artist

In 1953, Michèle VICQ was born on January 24 in Aubigny sur Nère in Berry.
The third of a family of nine children, she was the big-hearted tomboy. She loved working with her hands. Her father, a welder and factory worker, had set up a workshop in his garage to make balconies and gates. Without her father being seen, Michèle started the welding machine. weld, "to do like dad".
For forty years, she kept this sweet memory buried deep inside...
In 1986, the artist who still doesn't know it arrives in Brittany in St Malo as a shopkeeper.
The great adventure begins in 2001 when her friend Lionel gives her a welding station inherited from his father. The past resurfaces in her memory from then on the story is in motion and nothing and no one can stop it.
In 2002, Michèle presents herself as self-taught to welding classes to learn the different techniques of ironworking.
She set up her own workshop at the end of this first year.
September 2006, Michèle opened her workshop to give private lessons in metal sculpture to adults and adolescents.

July – Internship for individuals in metal sculpture at the workshop  

Creation and implementation at the end of 2013 and beginning of 2014 of an activity artistic with the town hall of CORLAY around the TAP. Activity started Thursday September 3, 2014 with a group of 12 children aged 6.

Obligation to obtain the BAFA for this activity, first part spent last August in Plouguernével.

Since 2011 various company internships for DIF, CIF, apprenticeship, reconversion contracts, etc. in private lessons given at my workshop. N° APPROVAL N° 53 22 08389 22

Since 2006, numerous courses for individuals in metal sculpture in individual lessons given at my workshop.
