Things Are Falling Into Place

After Six Months Of Traveling Abroad, Across Mexico, A Desire To Create Murals Inspired By The Motifs Of Mayans Or Even Toltecs, As Well As An Internship In A Ceramics Workshop In Paris. Montreal Will Allow Me To Realize After A Few Detours Through The Evolution Of My Pictorial Work. These Murals Are Inspired By Small Drawings Made A Few Years Earlier, On The Corners Of Tables In The Parisian Restaurants That I Frequented Then. Without Knowing It, I Was Taking My First Steps In What Would Become My Pictorial Approach Some Ten Years Later.   At The Same Time As I Approach The World Of Ceramics, I Continue My Transformation Into Painting. This Goes Through Realistic Phases And Then Back Towards A Graphic Expression That Is Sought After. I Feel Like I'm Going In Circles, Literally And Figuratively.  From The Influence Of The Spirit Of Certain Places In Mexico To A Transposition By The Constraints Of The Use Of Clay, This Will Give This Type Of Mural.    And Then, Step And Step, The Image Falls Into Place. This Also Involves Some Pictorial Games On The Motif Of Portraits Created With A Few Brush Strokes. And Portraits Made With The Same Technique As That Of Paintings Which Go Less And Less In Circles.      The Spirit Of Mexico, Like That Of Uxmal And The Nuns' Quadrangle, Does Not Leave Me.    As On The Side  Of Palenque Which Remains One Of The Highlights Of The Trip. The Visit To The Crypt Of The Soothsayer's Pyramid Is Still In My Memory.    The Spirit Of Mexico Of The Time Is Also That. The Port Of Cancun Is Located At At The Time A Village Whose Port Is A Beach Where Take Care Of The Pigs Transported On Hand Trucks And The Crates Of Various Drinks Are Stored Outside. Even Sand.
