Symbolist ... Abstract?
The word Abstract or abstract painter has always bothered me a little, because we have the choice at the beginning to use one of the materials and supports depending on what we want to do or to realize, therefore any work of art, it is a whole .... Supports, materials and textures, which are not abstract, the composition, the graphics or the color follow a path even if it is sometimes the effect of chance, it remains loaded with emotions of force, energy and various sensations which are not abstract either, a lived experience not abstract also at least for me, and a source, of feeling and reflection for the one who looks and interacts in a way or others, not abstract either.
Starting point, the idea ?
When I start, often the idea is there, but as the idea and the construction evolve, things are revealed and consequently I find myself in a situation where I am no longer the master of events, but everything is built in intimacy with the canvas, a negotiation of the why and the how to remain in respect of the initial idea, I let myself be guided by the canvas, the unforeseen events that add a touch, the brush, the paintbrush, the cloth and there you have it. everyone gets involved, in concerto, symphony, moving forward together, none of us wants to say stop then at one point by forced proxy I have to give the last word to the signature while saying deep down that I could have crumpled, brushed, scratched here and there. I don't know, the canvas either?? IS THIS THE ABSTRACT?.

Of course schematization and symbolism, acrylic in the colors of Morocco.
