As a sociologist, I created and hosted the free, citizen and Isère monthly "Les Antennes" for 12 years. Yesterday, as a director, I filmed the shepherdesses of the Alps, the sacred pilgrimage of Tibet and drew the portrait of nine powerful women, these Nepalese women who climbed Everest. My film "Les belles envolées" became a book "Les Népalaises de l'Evderest". But when I turned to painting 10 years ago,
What link can there be between Les Népalaises de l'Everest and “ élégance d'un poulpe”, or even “ se faire un peu de chatte”? It's simple: I draw as I write, I listen to people as I watch a bird, with the same intention, very pretentious, of wanting to change the world, for a better world obviously.
With time, perhaps my way of acting is less "frontal", I want to show the world now as I want it to be. So I paint portraits of courageous women, I draw joyful nymphs, and I paint a living nature so that it remains so for a long time.
What I do is infinitesimal but perhaps when you read this book, when you look at one of these drawings, a little drop of emotion will creep into you and something will perhaps start moving. This turmoil that I seek to provoke will, I hope, give you a joyful and generous energy.
