Discover the contemporary work of ADAMY

Gil Adamy studied at the Beaux Arts in Caen from 1968 to 1973.

He trained in the painting studio of Henri THOMAS, Grand Prix de Rome and in the graphic design studio of Pierre LIGNIER.

After being an artistic director in advertising, his professional career led him to work with the great designers Pierre Paulin

and Roger Talon.

He has been painting since 1996 and has exhibited in France and abroad since then. international.
He is co-founder of the artistic movement TheArtMove which brings together artists who propose a vision of the New World and he is president of SENS+, Think & Do tank whose vocation is to build a meaningful future. In this context, he created the ART & SENS reflection workshop, because through the representation of his vision of the world, Art is a vector of change in society.

Adamy defines himself as a visual artist of meaning. His artistic approach aims to awaken the imagination and reflection of those who view his works. These initiate a questioning of the future, of a society that remains to be imagined, colored, reinvented, and re-enchanted by men. He invites spectators to seek the meaning behind the images and encourages them to answer this question: What society? do we want for tomorrow? 

Thus, spectators can enter into conversation with their present and their collective future. Art becomes collaborative, integrates the other. The word circulates, the meaning of the work becomes evolving. 

Adamy stages well-known characters from international comics, but also his own characters, treated in black and white and used in counter-employment in a parody situation or the absurd shares it with the unconsciousness and madness of men.

He uses the weight of words to enrich the visual shock of his paintings with titles in the form of advertising slogans whose purpose is to amplify the perception of the work and its hidden meaning. His work is an allegory of our drifting world that lightly escapes a pathetic visual representation.
