Alisson Gouet est une artiste plasticienne née et élevée en France. Après six années d'études artistiques à Montpellier, Paris et New-York, elle obtient son master à l'Université de New-York avec mention en 2016. Elle s'interroge principalement sur la représentation des Noirs dans les médias et les arts. Point par point, elle crée de nouvelles broderies de symboles de statut social inspirées de l'iconographie religieuse et contemporaine.

Alisson Gouet is a visual artist born and raised in France.After six years studying art in Montpellier, Paris and New-York, she graduated with a master's degree from New-York University Fine Arts Institute with honor in 2016. She mainly questioned the representation of black people in the media and the arts. Stitch by stitch she creates new status symbol embroidery inspired by religious and contemporary iconography.
