Discover the contemporary work of Agnès Duquesne

Living in Normandy, I am passionate about the Breton and Normandy coasts and horses. My first audience was my mother, with a drawing of a parrot at the age of 5. As a teenager, I made charcoal sketches of horses on the large white wall of my bedroom. After a few years of interruption, I resumed drawing and acrylic painting, relying on the techniques learned with my visual arts teacher at middle and high school in Bourges. I use them today in my creations.
I like to play with shadows and light, whether to give relief to landscapes or to sublimate the expression of horses.
I like to hear and observe that my paintings are captivating, hypnotizing, that they tell a story or evoke emotions as deep as mine at the time of their creation.
