Discover the contemporary work of Agnès Naudin
I started drawing at a very young age, with a baccalaureate in Visual Arts at the Alphonse Daudet high school in Nîmes. Subsequently, in parallel with my work as a translator, I continued to develop my creativity through drawing, particularly inspired by the world of comics by André Juillard, J.P. Gibrat and François Bourgeon.
Since 2019, I have been participating in a collective painters' workshop (APLC, led by the painter Sylve Dauchet), where I specialized in oil painting, and also experimented with other techniques (Indian ink, watercolor drawing, colored inks, charcoal, on various supports (examples of which you will find on my website.
Every year, the studio holds group exhibitions, which has allowed me to receive encouraging feedback from the public.
It was in this studio that I discovered oil painting on linen, which is now the basis of most of my work.
My website (www.tradwind.fr) presents a sample of my latest productions, largely inspired by photos taken during my travels. The recurring themes are nature, particularly tropical landscapes, forests – I lived in the West Indies – and am always impressed by the strength of the wild and exuberant nature of these lands.
Currently, I am particularly interested in portraits or representations of characters on foot, which gives me the opportunity to test mixed techniques (oil and charcoal, acrylic and oil) and to mix textured and abstract backgrounds with drawn and figurative characters, which forms an interesting contrast.
In short, I paint or draw what I like and would like to share.
