Discover the contemporary work of Alain Caruso

Self-taught, carpenter for 9 years then creator of robust contemporary furniture,  Sculptor of wooden silhouettes,  I am registering for the Maison des artistes in 1999. I work on commission or through exhibition projects in galleries, in private homes. My workshop is open to the public by appointment.

I carve in wood of different species which I glue to work in the mass according to my drawings of curved shapes, silhouettes, signs, movements.... My sculptures are sometimes monumental in size, sometimes of human size or smaller.

Designer furniture is my conception of a familiar, original, soft and robust environment.

The interior decoration is participatory, the person explains to me what they like about my work, what they thought about it. for his project and we work together on the different development possibilities. It is important for me to link utility, creativity, surprise and well-being.
