Discover the contemporary work of Alain Walter
With a scientific background, having made a career in IT, a well-standardized, concrete and rigorous environment, nothing destined me to stand in front of an easel, but I had long been interested in art in general, painting in particular.
In 2010 I started practicing acrylics which seemed easy and practical to me and I learned through meetings, online training, and tutorials. After a period of a few years of little or no productivity, I have been getting back into it for 3 years with great pleasure since my retirement status.
I don't have a specific style because I try to constantly renew myself. Influenced by abstract, modern, surrealist painting, I willingly include figurative for a unique marriage. My creations are generally very colorful.
I start with an idea, a concept, a technique, I make a brief sketch on the canvas and quickly move on to a realization that will become more precise, change over time. It is not uncommon that, dissatisfied, I put the canvas aside and I come back to it much later with new ideas.
My favorite painters: Dali, De Staël, Kandinsky, Bosch, Turner.
