My journey as a street photographer is the story of a passion that saved me and gave new meaning to my life. However, this adventure has not always been obvious and linear.
I began my journey with a scientific background, continuing with studies in French classical literature and pedagogy. In search of ever more knowledge, I then obtained an MBA, as well as a diploma as a teacher of French as a foreign language (FLE). My love for words and languages naturally led me to work as a translator in embassies and a trainer for the United Nations. I have also been fortunate to live my passion for books by working as a bookseller.
All my life, I have been deeply passionate about culture, especially French culture, and I have dedicated my life to teaching French and French culture abroad. This devotion was recognized in 2020, when I had the honor of being decorated as a Chevalier des Arts et des Lettres.
However, despite Despite all these successes, life has thrown me some tough challenges. Sudden and continuous problems have plunged me into a deep depression. It was in this dark period that street photography appeared as a lifeline. Armed with my phone, I began to walk the streets, looking for moments of happiness to immortalize through my shots. This simple, but deeply rewarding activity has been a real therapy for me.
Street photography has allowed me to rediscover the world from a new perspective. By photographing moments of life, often in black and white, I have learned to see beauty in the small details of everyday life and to perfect my framing. Each photoshoot allows me to explore the play of light, contrasts, depth of field, and movement, capturing portraits, model shots, spontaneous street scenes and even urban landscapes. Inspired by masters such as Cartier-Bresson and Depardon, my photographic practices aim to capture the essence of a moment with careful composition and mastered technique, while maintaining the authenticity of the subject.
My photographs are then carefully processed with Lightroom to enhance textures, improve sharpness, adjust colors or work in monochrome. I like to use natural light to capture the intensity and truth of scenes, but I also play with different filters, effects and exposure techniques to enrich each image. My portfolio is constantly evolving, mixing street photography, food photography, portraits and landscapes. Every photoshoot is for me an exploration of new artistic approaches and a continuous learning in the art of framing, editing and visual storytelling.
Today, I owe my life to street photography. It has offered me a second chance, a new perspective and an inexhaustible source of inspiration. Every walk is an opportunity to take pictures and capture the magic hidden in simple gestures, spontaneous smiles, and natural human interactions. My portfolio reflects this quest for beauty in simplicity and my commitment to share these fleeting moments with the world.
Ultimately, my journey is one of rebirth thanks to photography. This passion has shown me that even in the darkest moments, there is always light to be found, stories to be told, and moments of happiness to be celebrated. My many travels to the United States, Emirates, Montenegro, Albania, North Macedonia, Turkey, Italy, Spain, Greece, United Kingdom, Czech Republic, Belgium, Switzerland, Austria, Syria, Lebanon, Morocco, Tunisia and South Africa have had a profound impact on my creativity and my vision. Egypt and France, but especially the Mediterranean, are an inexhaustible source of inspiration, constantly feeding my photographic practice.
