The painter Alafu Bulongo Dit Alfi Alfa was born in Kinshasa on 09/18/1967 from the union of Alafu bin Narabu and Mykalia. At primary school the teachers considered him the best student in his school Alafu bulongo is a born artist, he began his career as a self-taught painter in 1982 his first painting sold for five thousand Belgian francs at a dg of mibilia of Mr Luc bucquoiy a Belgian at the grand master darling samba  this inspires him to decide to become a free student at the workshop of the Institute of Fine Arts supervised by Mr. Mukalay Ngoyi, his painting teacher

With great discretion, Alfi Alfa courageously takes up delicate themes such as those of war or atrocities committed against women while signifying on other canvases the light themes of sapology or hair salons. Since 1994, Alfi Alfa has been exhibited nearly thirty times in Belgium, France, Canada, Congo Brazzaville, Austria, USA and Italy, of course in the DR Congo. His particular technique and mastery make him original and unlike any other. Alfi Alfa is a beacon of contemporary African painting.
