Containment was an opportunity for me because, with the closure of museums, I took advantage of the situation. free time to launch one of my own artistic projects.
As a self-taught artist, I picked up my own brushes and made paintings on the stories of Korea in order to exhibit and later publish a storybook
A little retrospective: Tales and legends really have an important place in Korea. Korean mythology gives birth to these works, tales and folk legends throughout the Korean peninsula. Among the key symbols of these stories we find: the sun, the moon, the sky, the star, the tree, the man, the spirit,…
Some of these ancient traditional stories may have had an impact on the lives of Koreans if we observe holidays, holidays or even certain habits. Identifying the origin of certain tales and legends is not simple, however the artistic representation varies depending on the origins, which can guide us. Indeed, in Korea we will get closer to everyday life and reality, in China it will be more in symbolic form, as for Japan, we will see more of a search for aesthetics.< br />
I took inspiration below from traditional tales, legends but also novels coming from precisely these different horizons. You will therefore find these particularities there.
In addition, I paint scenes recomposed with the Korean touch: characters, clothes, animals, traditions and musical instruments.
