Since childhood, Amalia Mereu has been drawing and painting. Amalia grew up in Corsica, facing the sea, watching fantastic sunsets: her favorite theme. Self-taught, she attended the Beaux Arts de Toulon for two years. She loves the magic of watercolor and changes her technique depending on the subject and the sensitivity of the moment. Through colored light, Amalia communicates her love for nature and beings, illuminated by inner peace... sublimating the great moments of existence. Imagination is present in her astonishing visions. .
Artistic approach
After fifteen years devoted to the well-being of the physically disabled, and 16 years of artisanal activity, I picked up my pencils and brushes again. Guided and inspired by the love of Nature, and the need to defend the living world, an exhibition is planned in the Var at the end of September 2025 "At the refuge of the Angels" in Pignans in the Var; see: EVENTS.

Return to the world of creation, numerous visions transcribed in watercolor, some landscapes in oil or pastels, first exhibition at the town hall of Toulon in 1986. My work as an Artisan did not leave me enough free time, the next exhibition took place in September 1999 at the Maison de la Culture in La Roquebrusane

First personal exhibition on different themes. Then another in 2002. Prize in a competition, without my knowledge, from the house of culture in La Roquebrusanne

participation in the painting competition "aux Colettes" in the domain of Auguste Renoir, then in Pignans, group exhibitions until 2008

Personal exhibition at the Maison des Artistes in Bormes les Mimosas and the following years with other painters at the Museum of Bormes les Mimosas.,
