Fakonde was born in Arles and studied graphic and editorial design in Grenoble. Back in his native village, he continued his artistic journey by designing works on multiple supports and exploring different mediums such as painting, digital creation, sculpture, and metalwork.

Fakonde explores the narrative and visual potential of images, playing with their ambiguities to bring out liminal spaces where reality and fiction intertwine.
His work questions the mechanisms of production, circulation, and interpretation of images, which he diverts and reconfigures to produce artifacts from a distorted reality.
These creations, similar to fragments torn from an alternative world, oscillate between abstraction and narration, offering an experience to both destabilizing and evocative.

Fakonde sows doubt and wonder, summoning questions and fantasies in visual scenarios that escape convention.
