Discover the contemporary work of Ariel Azor

Ariel Azor, born in the city of Montevideo, Uruguay, on March 21, 1968, currently lives in Tenerife, Canary Islands. He is self-taught, although he has always written, in 2015 the Argentine publisher Croupier selected him to represent his country in an anthology of Latin American writers, called Peces con Alas, with that same publishing house. A year later he published his book Ácido, which currently has four editions, that same year 2016 he also published the book El bar de los bichos in Uruguay, books which he is invited to present in the annex of the legislative palace of Uruguay, as well as like in Peru and Argentina. In 2017 he was invited (for his story Las Cajas) to participate in an event against domestic violence and the children of the world in Córdoba, Spain, as well as as well as presenting his books at the Ateneo de Madrid, in Malaga and at the Icodense center in Tenerife. In 2018 he published his new book which he calls &Acido 2, a book that is presented at the Ateneo de Montevideo, Argentina and Peru. In 2019 he wrote the book El Tío Alfredo, which is presented at the University of Oaxaca, Mexico and at the Ateneo de Madrid, as well as As in Malaga, also that year he was invited to write the prologue to the anthology Fragua de Preces by the Abra Cultural association of the island of La Palma, Canary Islands, where more of a hundred writers from thirty countries. Currently, he lives in Tenerife, Canary Islands and is preparing his new book, called “The Last Journey”
