Artsboud, born in 1981 in Rouen, is a passionate artist whose creative universe is deeply influenced by his early inspirations. From a very young age, he discovered a love for drawing, painting and graffiti. His fascination with cartoons, comics, manga and iconic heroes of the 80s, as well as films and series, is reflected in his vibrant and dynamic works.
Artsboud's originality lies in the innovative use of the 1 dollar bill as his main medium. He uses a meticulous technique of spray painting on his base support, he then sticks the bill(s) on it before drawing on it with Posca pens. This process requires a precise number of passes to obtain a final rendering where the bill becomes invisible.
In addition to his work on bills, Artsboud likes to get out of his comfort zone by personalizing vintage objects. His artistic approach allows him to explore various media, such as old letters and stamps, and also original materials such as minitels or rotary telephones, but it is truly the $1 bill that remains his favorite playground.
Committed and eager to share his passion, Artsboud also works in schools, where he leads art workshops. These moments of exchange with children are precious to him, because they allow him to discover their vision of drawing and creation, while encouraging them to express their own creativity through his unique style.
