Born in Chartres, a city dominated by its famous Gothic-style cathedral, Eric Bachet then spent the first years of his life in the heart of the oldest city in France, called since Antiquity "the Gate of the Orient", Marseille. His interest in the Temples and Pyramids of Egypt generates a real fascination and awakens in him the memory of an era, of a feeling... And it is quite naturally that he joins a school of Architecture. For three years he will learn about this civilization and decipher the magic of Egyptian Art. The teaching of this monumental architecture completed he will spend a year at the Ecole Supérieure Des Beaux-arts in Marseille but he interrupts his studies to go up to the capital. Indeed, a long artistic work mixed with an inner journey supported by the precepts of Buddhism and Taoism led him to Paris in 1985. Ancient Egypt leaves a particular taste for the precision of gesture, the multiplicity of geometric figures, the richness of symbols, the revelation of forgotten or unknown colors on Eric Bachet's pictorial writing. The world of Meditation modifies its evolution and then highlights the notion of perpetual change of the elements that surround us. This discovery will quickly become a revelation since he practices meditation on a daily basis and now teaches it within a Multidisciplinary Artistic Center located in Péronne in the Hauts de France.
