The postman is a good guy, born and raised. in Brittany, far from the sea around 70 years ago. Self-taught, he always felt the need to express himself “elsewhere”. Painting and sculpture came naturally. The goal of his work is the creation of expressive objects, without particular stylistic concerns.
There are 2 rules. The first is to avoid the "already" seen" and the "léé done". The second: the object achieved must cause itself (without adding comments).
It goes without saying that he pays little attention to the history of art and its categories. His only ambition is to be a good postman like Cheval.
The need to "show" is very recent. Quite simply because he needs money.
