Self-taught, I once had a piece of wood in my hand at the same time as a tool. I then unknowingly took up an ancestral path. To reveal the useful sometimes, the beautiful always, in what Nature puts at our disposal. With wood I found a diversity of densities, colors and paths all traced towards more and more affirmed forms. What is man and what is matter when they bind? I am wood but I am not wood. Who am I?
To seek, lovingly, woods that speak, woods that float, that burn, dead woods that still live.
To sit in front of it until the shapes emerge, reveal themselves, intertwine... to keep only one source in all directions of the blade.
To know how to stop when nothing is finished, perhaps when the shape wishes to observe the world from its new position.
