Hello,

Nicolas, a young artist of 60 years old, retired after an active career in the Administration. I made myself known on the web as a press cartoonist and caricaturist for 10 years and I now devote myself to abstract drawing in black and white only.

My goal is to make automatic drawings in a personal style influenced by Comic Strips asking the viewer to interpret the various shapes often intertwined with exaggerated features such as large heads and simplified faces giving a caricatured impression. The play of hatching and shadows adds depth and texture in order to create a captivating visual effect. The interest of the experience is to give free rein to one's imagination more than by illustrating a simple gag and to discover new graphic perspectives. All the drawings are made on paper at using a Pentel felt-tip pen.
