Discover the contemporary work of Basile COULAMY

Hello, I'm Basile, I'm 25 years old.
Born and living in Clermont, I obtained a BAC Pro AMA CVPM
(Arts and Crafts of Visual Communication Arts Multi-Media)
at the St-Géraud d'Aurillac communication high school in 2018.
I tried once the entrance exam for ESACM and ESAAA
(Annecy) in 2019.
Having failed, I launched into working life, out of necessity, in catering.
So I passed a CAP cuisine in 2021 at the Institut des Vergnes de Clermont.
Despite everything, I have always pursued an artistic practice outside of my professional activity. Recently I applied to the photography competition organized by the Grenoble Museum,
where I won second prize. 

For several years, I have enjoyed painting, music, cooking, traveling and taking photos. 

I am also interested in cinema.
I enjoy watching films of various styles, essential nourishment for my practice.
The subject, the framing, the light, are all concerns that drive my photographic practice. From time to time, I also like to go hunting in flea markets.
Walking in nature, looking at its colors, understanding how it works,
also nourishes my artistic practice.
