Discover the contemporary work of Marie-Françoise BELARD COMBES
MF Bélard Combes finds enchantment through color and the pleasure of material. Its assertive graphics, the velvety feel of of his colors, the transparencies and the glazes, accompany him in his quest for the invisible, in the abstraction of the imprints of life. An endearing work revealing the power of the artist: that of transmuting the wrinkles of time into a burst of light.

We are always a beginner in front of a blank canvas: imagination, emotion, invention should be for me springs that lead to something new. the ambivalence of the painting which becomes both an inaccessible world and an apparition: it slips away, reveals itself, plays with feelings or seems unfathomable. It is in abstraction that I found freedom necessary to my imagination because the formal elements have all the more force as they are not put at the service of representation. They even reveal by means such as rhythm, composition, harmony of colors or use of space the sensitivity of the subject. of the artist.
My approach is based on the search for an (unconscious?) encounter or the awareness of a journey towards the other. The strengths and cracks of life? the quest for the invisible? what will emerge from the picture? This research is also undermined by the questioning that the canvas currently being developed gives me or provokes. Abstraction, which for me naturally followed on from the representation (essentially of the body: movements, energy), is an invitation to live through the imagination an infinity other lives.
