Najia Bennis Artist painter, born in 1947 in Meknès. She was encouraged for creation and was influenced by her father who was a famous craftsman in Meknès. Graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts & Architecture in Marseille Luminy France ?Higher Diploma of Plastic Expression? , she Lives and works in Casablanca, Morroco, as an independent artist. her website najiabennis.tk Her paintings are composed by a kind of exuberance, rhythm of spontaneousness, Giant forces of the Movements, colors and gestures, made up of arabesques, using the primary colors, where we can guess curves, forms and her famous movement touch. Najia paintings evolves, moves can be read or traversed, it evokes periods of its life and world actualities for its cheerfulnesses and its anguishes. Najia Bennis is haunted by the forms which populate her tormented imaginary. Throughout a production of more than thirty years, Najia Bennis with a prickly fidelity with its vision, endeavoured to transcribe, furiously, feverishly, its interior world on its creation. Painter of spontaneousness, the fever and the gestural dash, Najia Bennis projects in front of our eyes a crossed oneiric universe of shades without faces, where mysterious ceremonies, gatherings, processions, festivals and dances put in scene a bewitched humanity, but animated of an intense life. Her creations are born without preconceived plan, her compositions are genereted from the states of her heart. As for the dreams, the paintings of Najia Bennis does'nt have titles, she refuses to interpose between her pictorial dreams and our glance, to let everybody the freedom of his own imagination. The artist is marked by personification and the prevalence of the body, during a phase of transition, the artist was directed towards the abstraction, to set finaly to a completely abstraction, Najia paintings are dominated by human concentrations, Circulars or horizontal according to their relationship to nature. The characters of Najia Bennis doesn't have a face, they remain in the shade, unknown, nothing should resemble to anything, it could be the ?ego? which continues chasing us everywhere under different faces. The artist adds: I seek the movement, and the movement is the life which stops only by death... that's why I decided to cut my 30 metres paintings, and stoping it before that it stops me from my elk.
