Discover the contemporary work of Benoit Boutoille
Nurtured by an itinerant childhood between the extremities of France, I was inspired by deeply marked by the contrasts between the Luberon, Paris and Nord-Pas-de-Calais. My works explore the tension between the bright, warm colors of the south and the freshness of the waters of the Opal Coast.
My paintings, often abstract, are inspired by great cubist artists such as André Lhote, or even André Derain and Édouard Pignon. I tackle everyday themes, portraits, landscapes and walking scenes, using mixtures of saturated colors and plays of light.
