ATTIKA BOUBEZARI born in Algiers/Algeria in 1959 Painter and designer. Preference for abstraction, flora, figurative, landscapes and portraits. For me, painting is expressing an emotion of the moment, a state of mind, a sensitivity, it is also translating a dream or a hope by giving it with a brushstroke an image that will be reflected in the eyes of others, depending on the mood of the moment it can also be the expression of a nightmare that we want to materialize to freeze it or remove it from our memory.

This can be likened to a therapeutic act.

Being in front of a blank canvas is for me a moment of truth, the hand and the technique are only a tool that will apply itself to translate a deep sensitivity that often does not accommodate the superfluous and does not relate to what I appear at the time or to the atmosphere that reigns there. My saddest and darkest paintings were painted in periods of my life called joyful and conversely it is in times of torment and uncertainty that I seek bright colors as an outlet for my anxieties and my questions.
