Discover the contemporary work of bruno aimetti
Admitted at a very young age through competitive examination to the Decorative Arts of Strasbourg, painting and illustration section, Bruno Aimetti was a resident there for five years.
He then began as an illustrator
then advertising graphic designer in Paris and Normandy. Twenty years later, tired
from the futile world of advertising and reconnecting with his Italian origins, he leaves the gray for the light of the south.
He opened a workshop in Gordes then at the foot of Barroux. Success is immediate.
The strange and offbeat worlds of Bosch and Brueghel are his artistic references, Dada, expressionism and some surrealists for the mind.
He lives and works today in Aude, in Montolieu, Village of Books and Graphic Arts
“The only difference with Van Gogh is that I sleep soundly”
The characters in B. Aimetti's oils are plump and light. They come alive in a refined space and travel freely in a certain weightlessness.
Although his work is classified among the singular, his own, plural and protean expression far exceeds this movement in content and form.
