Cécile CANUEL, Painter Born in 1974 in Paris, Cécile CANUEL has always been interested in all kinds of arts. After she's got her ?school leaving? certificate in Arts, she started social studies. But in 1998, the artist comes back to the painting. Self-taught painter, the meeting with music will give her the opportunity to come back to her passion. Interested in the history of Jazz music and all its sensations, intrigued by New York where she spends her time in some jazz clubs, drawing the music and its vibrations, she felt an intense need to translate her emotions to canvas.Cécile CANUEL presents us a work where rhythm and vitality meet the relief, the structure and the life of the colors. Variant between semi-figurative and total abstraction, the artist says her mind is in a permanent "state of occupation". She explains : "My mind is in a permanent state of occupation.
