CARMEN LÓPEZ REY (Córdoba-Spain, 1973) is a plastic artist with a degree in BBAA (sculpture and painting) from the University of Granada (1993-98) and a permanent professor of Arts. at the IES Luis de Góngora in Córdoba.
It has more than a hundred group and individual exhibitions. He has dedicated 20 years studying and pictorially representing the Monumental Heritage of Córdoba with collections such as that of Al Andalis, its Roman collection or that of Sefarad. One of his works that represents the Facade of Al Hakan II was the image of Fitur in 2013 from His latest collection Sororidad-Somos una,which was given in 2013. to be known in its hometown in March 2022, it has already been exhibited in Pamplona (November-22), at the Salon International d’Art Contemporain Art 3F in Paris (September-22) Bordeaux (December-22) , Berlin (March-23) and Madrid (December-23)
With wide international recognition, since his work has also been published in prestigious art magazines such as California Art Magazine, Importan & Cool, OCBAl International Catalog of Brazil or the Spanish Art book among others.
He has permanent exhibitions at Artemissa Art Gallery and at 1819 Art Gallery in Madrid. In addition to being one of the artists selected to create the NFT predictables in the Visions Prediction Card Collection.
She is currently working on a new project about forgotten women of Al Andalus.
My work is a relentless search for the lives of great women who have changed the world. To give them the place they should occupy and so that they do not fall into oblivion. My series are infinite.
