I am a Belgian painter living in Provence, in Pernes les Fontaines.  

After a long and very classic life of metro-work-sleep, my world changed completely in 2014 when we moved to the south to take the time to live.

After a period of contemporary abstract art, I refined my style which is presently close to street art, or to contemporary pop art: I draw moments of life on abstract colored backgrounds that recall urban walls. My palette, deliberately very colorful, contrasts with the black of the graphics and supports the emotions of the drawing.

Tolstoy said "You should only write at the moment when, each time you dip your pen in the ink, a piece of your flesh remains in the inkwell." And that's what I try to do when I paint: seek out raw emotions, those that amaze us, those that destroy us... those that make us alive! Thus, each layer of paint represents our feelings, all those moments of life that make us what we are at a specific moment.

My painting is therefore not intended to be in search of aesthetics. It simply aims to be free and liberating, without instructions, without constraints, without standards, without stereotypes. Because who would prefer a cage to freedom?
