Graduated in heritage restoration, it was in 2018 that I opened my Workshop "Tell me a Story" in the Monts du Lyonnais. I practice in a professional capacity. restorer/conservator of paintings and copyist. And because it’s a need, I paint.
Free, I run after these moments of escape; leaving space to color to watch it vibrate! My painting is luminous, intimate and positive, embodying with strength or gentleness the emotions that pass through me.
Curious, I like to explore and juggle with materials that resonate with the moment: birds shaped in clay. paper takes its first flight, oily pastels deposit their raw material in abstract illustrations, dreamlike and imaginary stories are told from the tip of a brush loaded with oil. of paint oil, crude collages rub shoulders with the delicate application of gold leaf, poppies become peonies with the stroke of a colored pencil. Color, always color!
A craftsman by trade, I know how to put my technical knowledge into practice in the service of the artistic. I cook old recipes to make my supports: assembly of the frame, stripping of the canvas, gluing using the glue. skin glue, preparation for skin from casein, to the choice of mediums and paints which allow me to control the quality of the material. and the evolution of my work over time.
