Chrystelle Lamoureux is a French painter and visual artist based in Soissons, Aisne.
Her artistic work is characterized by the creation of dreamlike worlds, resulting from personal reflections and introspection informed by extensive reading. She creates an alchemy between light, matter, and the particles that compose them. Her works invite the viewer to a journey beyond time and space, each piece offering a poetic and a reflection.
The round shapes present in her creations recall those of artists such as Sonia Delaunay, Sophie Taeuber-Arp, and Yayoi Kusama, known for their circular motifs and their explorations of color and form.
The encounter, the interactions between materials, materials to dream and think about, color and pattern, each work offers the viewer a poetic and a reflection.
To paint life, one must understand it. Grasp the universal questions of the cosmos, from the infinitely small to the the infinitely large, attempting to find the keys to the laws of the universe and creation. All creation carries within it the memory of humanity. We are the memory of the stars.
This has led Chrystelle Lamoureux to use, transform, and mutate the alchemy of materials that allows a work to come to life and evolve over time.
In summary, Chrystelle Lamoureux is a contemporary artist whose work explores imaginary worlds, blending light, matter, and organic forms, inviting the viewer to a sensory and introspective experience.
