I was born in 1954, and I still remember that afternoon in CE2 class, busy reproducing a plane tree leaf. The "teacher" had found my drawing pretty and had displayed it on the classroom wall. I had been angry with her because I wanted, like my classmates, to show it to my family when I came home from school.
Painting and music rocked my adolescence. Between concerts and painting exhibitions, the choice was difficult... Painting won the battle.
At 26, self-taught, I began a career as an art craftsman, letter painter/decorator. I have worked my entire career on the creation of signs, decoration and frescoes of all sizes throughout France.
Today my children have taken the reins of the company and see me free to satisfy my passion: Going from art craftsman to painter!
My favorite field is realism, I like portraits for the "challenge" side , but I also like to wander towards other styles such as abstract, figurative or new art.
My name is Vincent BRUNO and I sign my works "Choup" that's what my wife calls me.
I am a painter! ...so I paint and I like it. I don't want to fit into a box: realistic painter, abstract, figurative, impressionist...
My career as an art craftsman has confronted me with all sorts of requests and I liked these challenges. So I continue in this perspective, maybe one day a box will be created for me?!
