New England born Elliot attended RISD and graduated graphic designer 1977. . .employed in Hollywood as a cinema film special effects artist and model miniature artist as a member of the union IATSE. Moved to Paris and worked as an effects artist and graphiste in the audio-visual presentation sector.before accepting an audio-visual post in Saudi Arabia in 1988 for six years. Elliot returned to France with his family to settle in Grenoble and continue his career as "artiste peintre" and now lives in southwestern France where he's happily engaged in his sunny studio creating his works. . .

I build much of my images based on structure and light and an uncompromising, strategic compositional rigour. . .my tree series reflects this point. The series captures the elusive, lyric capacity trees represent for the viewer to connect through ephemeral, primary emotion, a grace properly shared between humans and trees. . .things difficult to evoc and transfer as an artist. . . .
