If the paintings that the artist offers are of a different style, there is, despite everything, in all his creations, a common thread: the Word. Indeed, we could define Colormo's entire creative process in one sentence: “In the beginning was the Word” [DL2] - Gospel according to Saint John. Whatever our belief or religion, it is clear that each of our discoveries or advances and, more simply, each action is guided by a thought and therefore by a word, declaimed or not.
So, with colors, the artist brings words to life, materializes sentences, thoughts or quotes. The main goal of his creative approach is to visually bring out the invisible and to paint, not the thing, but the effects it produces.
University, graduate in modern letters, master of letters, doctor of the university In 1990, the subject of his thesis was the following: “Graphical representation of a recorded lecture’ for automatic transcription within the framework of a theory on the sign and the symbol » (Vol. I and Vol. II). He draws heavily on this research to share with the public, fans of art, a more symbolic and pictorial vision.
Diversity of his styles is also a nod to his style. à the plurality of the universe and all the civilizations that compose it. Every country, every culture has its “color” and its language: Colormo interprets them with its own emotion. From Hebrew to Asian writings, the artist offers us a real course in culture associated with to the graphic pleasure of his colorful works.

With his own techniques, whatever the medium or support; his painting is a form of writing. He lets himself go, at will. of his feelings, his own interpretation after research work. Through his works made of signs and symbols, the artist wishes to share, as much as possible, a message full of mysteries about the origin of the world and its future signified by its languages.
Description of my art
“In the beginning was the Word!”! The entire artistic approach of my art is concentrated in this first sentence of the Gospel of Saint John. Essentially symbolic painting, the goal of my pictorial art is to visually bring out the invisible and to paint not the thing but the effects it produces, as Stéphane Mallarmé states. If there is anything, then the objective is to allow the painted form to achieve the emotion or meaning that emerges from it!

Work mainly at home. acrylic, it can be done on different supports either on cotton or linen canvas, on linen fabric or on glossy paper allowing itself to create a composition by cutting and editing according to the choice of message transmitting and the use of different tools (brush, knife, felt pen etc...).
Work at home Watercolor, which is also part of my techniques, is much more intimate and aims to represent shapes, figures, and events. On watercolor paper in different formats, it is intended to be a punctual or discreet illustration.
I exhibited à Paris (Galerie Métanoïa (2015, 2016, 2017, 2018), Sacred Art Festival of Senlis (2019) and Compiègne (2020), Heritage Day at Ermenonville Castle (2022), Espace4 Sorbonne (2022), Galerie Etienne de Causans (02/2023), Galerie Francis Barlier (05/2023), Alsatian Cultural Center ‘’René Alsace as part of the 24° Path of Sacred Art d’Alsace from June to June October 2022 to Ribeauvillé with the title: ‘’The Word in Colors’’. Previously, there were two watercolor exhibitions in 2011 in Paris. Barr in Alsace as part of the ‘’Rue des Arts’’ and at; Boston in May 2012 at the French cultural center. In addition, two exhibitions took place in November with the themes: “Time Travel” à the Vivienne gallery (Paris) from 06/11 to 11/11/2023 and “artistic carousel”; at the Gustave gallery (Paris) from 06/11 to 12 11/2023. Finally, on screen the Swissartexpo in Zurich organized by ARTBOX in September 2023 (from 06 to 10).
In 2024, I exhibited à the Etienne de Causans gallery, at Venice (in digital presentation) during the ARTBOX PROJECT VENEZIA 2.0 from April 10 to 30, 2024 and I will exhibit from May 27 to September 30, 2024 at the EDMA house in Paris.
