My approach I create intuitively, I observe and draw my inspiration from my direct environment. In a very organic way, I neither intellectualize nor calculate my approach, making art the main vector of my influences and perceptions of everyday images. I transcribe my feelings in languages that are familiar to me, often emanating from current events. globalized and accelerated. In many of my creations man is subject to the effects of omnipresent, invisible and instantaneous communication; on which the speed of my creative process is modeled. My quest is that of aesthetics, through against the tide of a world whose ugliness is easy to highlight. My style is thus marked; up to the point by the instantaneous need to to resort to beauty, like a wink to my past and as the graphic expression of my story. I draw spontaneously with or without a project, in direct reaction to my ideas. my environment. Different techniques are then used: ink, acrylic, pastel chalk, etc. I treat my subjects in detail. through drawing on paper, painting or sculpture. For painting, I favor the knife over the brush, moving from acrylic to acrylic. oil, depending on the time I have. The knife allows me to combine spontaneity with and strength in free gestures. All my energy is focused on the line, it is for me the most powerful part. The skeleton is placed on the Web. Then I apply the material and fix the color like a dress. In sculpture, I mainly use earth or clay, in which I find nobility and universality. My favorite subject is always the human figure, female or male, evolving in imaginary urban worlds, sometimes inspired by cinematic scenes. And it is again in a figurative and rather classic approach that I explore the volumes of the human body. With the same concern for aesthetics, I bring life to life. forms revealing nobility and grace in each work. But once the modeling has been carried out, with the help of another participant - a molder or a foundryman, the work can continue to exist forever. across ages and places. In sculpture, painting or drawing I combine History and current affairs. in different collections that I call Myths and Legends, “ Men in a Hurry » in their « Urban Landscapes » in « Migrations » or in « Portraits ». I naturally feel the need to extract the essence of these elegant and positive souls. I am a figurative artist who likes to describe a reality. sometimes disturbing, with a colorful touch of optimism. To explain my approach, I like to cite a tale about the beauty of life. and the ugliness of the Lebanese philosopher-writer Gilbran Khalil Gilbran: “ One day Beauty and Ugliness met on the shore of a sea. One said to her; the other: ‘’Let’s go swimming.’’ They strip off and dive into the waves. Some time later Ugliness returns to the shore and takes the clothes of Beauty. When Beauty came out of the water and did not find his clothes; so she wore the clothes of Ugliness... Since that day, the world has been confused. However, some recognize the true face of Beauty, despite this. the disgrace of his clothes! ». And it’s true; whatever the subject I deal with, I always prefer to dress it up with beauty. ! This is not frivolity, but a refuge! Aesthetics as an antidote to unhappiness! “ ‘art is a gift that sustains me; it is like a boat that would take me through existence. » My goal: To be able to make my art known, share it and communicate my quest for beauty. and the happiness it can produce.
